September Secrets
fireflies stay hidden,
to the stars unbeholden
as moon melts golden!
and at darkest nights
when damp, dark-green foliage sleep
with secrets to keep!
lightning cracks the day,
thunders stun, benumb the brain,
dance, September rain!
