Yesterday when we were walking
You asked me how I was feeling
That gale I so well remember
Tears fell like leaves in September.
Disabling words just made me sad
Tore my heart it made you feel bad
Your hazel brown eyes keep telling
Tears fell like leaves in September.
And the promises we have made
Don't forsake me, love'll never fade
All my sorrows, heart is mourning
Tears fell like leaves in September.
