Separated

I'm listening to the rain falling Through this silent lonely night, Looking at the horizon, Where my heart is calling Me, separated from my mind. I, disenchanted, feeble, frail, Give in to weakness, momentary. My pride's a guile, I'm not afraid That you'll discover all my truth - You know where my hope is buried Much better than I do. On me you shed your inner light - Turn into shadows my fears. If I could stay with you tonight And in the morning disappear, Or die, but in your arms... I'd die. And I indulge in just one dream Till it's dissolved in fresh spring air By winds of anguish and despair When once blue skies just seem so dim Without you there. Twenty-five hours a day, Eight days a week of you I'm thinking. Forgive my sins of yesterday And stay with me... don't leave me sinking In waters of dismay.
