Separate Ways

I always wanted more
Than you were prepared to give;
It leads us now to separate ways
With altered lives to live.
My heart will always beat for you
With what little is left intact;
Love for you has come and gone
So now there's no turning back.
If you ever have a lonesome day
With nothing else to do;
Think back on our love filled days
When my love was all for you.


A collabortion with my dear friend
Dan Kearly who "gets in the mood"
now and then.

I know one time I did a collaboration where I went back and forth with someone alternating the lines of the poem. This really has the feel of one person doing the poem!!
