Selfless Mum

How can you be so selfless
That you gave up your dream for mine?
How can you be so restless
That you stand by me like an angel?

How can you be so hopeful
That you only hope for the best for me?
How can you be so caring
That your kindness astounds me?

The affliction you endure
And the sacrifices you offered,
Prepares me for the future
And make my soul soar high.

Soon, you shall forget your crooked past
And ride on a golden horse.
Soon, you shall forget your stressful past
And be adorned with regalia of honor.

Dedicated to my selfless Mum, Victoria N.O.
