Selfishness

What we want is never quite
the same as what we need,
and what we think we ought to have
is usually just greed.

We get more satisfaction
from something that we earn,
but still we play the lottery
and hope that it's our turn.

We look for love but rarely
show others that we care,
perhaps we think that love was meant
for only two to share.
