Self Worth

Nothing I do will change things no matter how hard I try Sometimes the only option you’ve left me is to say goodbye Sometimes no matter what I do it will never be enough Letting go seems harder but holding onto hope is tough No matter how much I prove I’m worthy of the love you say you feel The reality of it all is becoming more real Sometimes you’ve got to accept what’s love got to do with it Something quite ironic now don’t you think about your sense of wit Sometimes you’ve just got to be done and value your self worth more As trying to stay in this is beginning to hurt more I’m sure No matter what I do to show you it will never be enough Testing you and asking questions to see if I can call your bluff But once you’d taken your stance The reality was I never stood a chance I’m not the type of women’s to hang onto the little bits you give Life wasn’t made to be miserable it was made to live When you gave me a million reasons to leave I always chose to stay But now you’ve left me with no other way As each choice is painful no matter the path I take But pride and self worth on one journey compensate So that’s it I’m done and I’m worth so much more It’s time to walk out that door And as one door closes they say another one is ready to be open I refuse to settle for less and I’ll forever remain outspoken Because I won’t change who I am or what I know I’m worth Even though I was willing to move heaven and earth I won’t settle for less If I’m not seen and appreciated or important at your own address Nor will I allow space to create confusion from your words which lead me to second guess What I will do is pack up and move out Rather than sit in doubt If you can’t step up then please baby it’s now time to step out Because in all of this I was the one who was consistent ,loyal and honest throughout So if that’s what your willing to refuse Then it will be you who will lose As what I give you’ll search for in others But you’ll never find Because baby boy I’m definitely one of a kind So if you want to let me walk away go ahead and I’ll leave But when you look for me there will be no reprieve Don’t come back when you realise what your missing After you’ve been so dismissing As I can promise I won’t be there to be found After all What goes around comes around And I wasn’t born to play games and be apart of this playground If loving me from a distance Is what you need to do Then I’m sorry for your loss but that’s all on you
