Self Respect
I really do not want your man
I've had a few of my own
None have been the right one
this I have been shown
Either they were truly selfish
or they cheated and they lied
Who would want to live that way
until the day they died
It wasn't always terrible
No, not always bad
But self respect is precious
So I left with all I had
I know some stay any way
so afraid to be alone
But if that's your only reason
your heart can turn to stone.
(I wrote this for 2 reasons. 1 because too many women act like I want to take their man just because I am single and 2 because I see so many staying in relationships where they are not happy just so they won't be alone)
