Self Inflicted

Self inflicted war wounds,
Sought through a fight with Self
To achieve was to hold,
When to hold was to fail To
In a deceiving mind,
To conform to other then In
Awake to be Alive,
For sleep wanting to be Awake

Thoughts in reversed,
Dreaming for new Thoughts
How can I conceive,
Through belief of How
To be despite I have betrayal,
I have always placed a label To
For the critic harshest is I,
Believing in what my demise was meant For

Learned not undeserved,
Or punished for what is Learned
Overcoming the "Self Inflicted,"
Lifted through the Overcoming
Defused war from within,
Yet internal fire un-Defused
Living for change,
Manifesting change while Living
