Selected Favorite Old Testament Bible Verses part three

16) A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches. Loving favor rather than
silver and gold. The rich and the poor have this in common, the LORD is maker
       over all. Proverbs 22:1-2

17) Great is our LORD, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite. The
LORD lifts up the humble; He casts the wicked down to the ground. Sing to
the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praises on the harp to our God, who covers
the heavens with clouds, Who prepares the rain for the earth, Who makes
grass grow on the mountains. He gives the beast his food, And to the young
      ravens that cry. Psalm 145:5-9

18) "Many daughters have done well, But you exceed them all." Charm is deceitful
and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.
Give her the fruit of her hands, And let her own works praise her in the gates."
       Psalm 31:29-31.

19) Excerpts from the Ten Commandments Exodus 20:2-17 (by the verses)

3: "You shall have no other GOD's before Me.
4: You shall not make for yourselves any carved image-
(in the heavens above, in the earth beneath, or the
             water under the earth)
5: You shall not bow down to them nor serve them..."
7: You shall not take the name of the LORD your God
in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who
             takes His name in vain.
8: Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. Six days
you shall labor and do your work but the Sabbath day day
is the Sabbath of the LORD your God.... 8 to 10
11: For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth,
the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh
day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and
             hallowed it.

12: "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be
long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you."
         13: "You shall not murder.
14: You shall not commit adultery.
         15: You shall not steal.
16: You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
17: You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not
covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his
female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything
               that is your neighbors.
