The imagery in this piece brings back lovely memories of a simpler place and time when I used to visit my grandmother in the country! Thanks for the memories in this excellent haiku, my friend! Be blessed. Hugs. Pandita

Thank you Paul. Simplicity of life becomes far, far more appealing as we grow older and wiser. When young we oft want wild, free, adventurous and fast flowing life paths. I too see the blessings in life that farm life gave. Even if the hardships endured gave cause for me to leave that way of living.

The rustic and wild captivate my mind and heart, Robert. I come from a countryside upbringing, and I find that nothing beats simplicity of life. Best regards, my friend. // paul

This reminds me of my grandparents, and their farm, and the apples we used to salvage from the worms. Nice!
