Seeking Help

In escaping punishment, I had failed.

When the ambulance came, the pain hit like hail.

Where imagination stops, hallucinations take off.

The stupor I was in made the hard pillows seem soft.

I would wake up feeling like I was tumbling.

And I would hope that there was something I could take that was numbing.

I would feel cold, as if going into shock.

And confused as if my head was hit with a rock.

But I would rather be stricken than complain.

As seeking help in here is in vain.
