Seeing the Us of Forever

I was wondering 
	When you were dreaming 

Back then
	Back before we began 

Before the eternal clock 
chimed us in
It’s afternoon hands 
pointing us out

At one 
in its never-ending trek 
around the clock
the clock around the sun

before one was two and the
two of us made three 

I was wondering
	When you were dreaming
Were you  dreaming of me

Could you see 
the children
	Surrounding you 

Could you feel 
The hands joined tight
Trying their best 
With all their might 
To hold back time  

Could you feel our breath 
in perfect unison
 
Could you see a forever 
In the face of the clock
marking our time together
