Seeing

When I see things Do I know what I see? When thought hurls fling Do I feel free? Seeing not knowing, Looking not seeing; Do I look to see? Do I see to be? Looking not knowing, Seeing not looking; Do I see to look? Where's my look book? I read more books, Do I change looks? Knowing not feeling, Thinking not knowing. I question questions, I ignite tension; Mad loose cannon, Blind in a canyon! I take a peek, I con and cheat; I sneak and seek, I choke defeat. Curious I look, Curious I see; Discard vain books, Now learn to be. Curiosity kills, Vanity styles; Swallow some pills, Watch cynic smile. Weird this madman, Wild as a fire; Crazy poet tends, Fancy words sire. I say something Because I create; Wordplay I fling, Watch soul sublimate. Day after day, I write my lines; And if I may, Make beauty mine. Leon Enriquez 14 Mar 2014 Singapore
