See And Not Hear
David J Walker

You may have noticed 
That the dead never take
The time to speak 
Never mind that we have 
Met face to ghostly face 
To seek out and exchange 
Messages between 
Barbed wire fences that divide
the senses we 
cannot otherwise share
I suppose the Other Wise 
would not care if we were to 
at least say hello
before we go
again
But then 
I don’t know
In these dreams I can only say
What I see
Not hear
