Secret Walk

Take my hand
Let’s take a walk
Along destiny’s path
Down the road of fate
An eternity’s passed
Or so it seems
Since you kissed my lips
But time’s stood still
And our eyes are motionless
I see the moon kiss the water
As I stare across the blue nothing
Stars dive into the sea
As the foam rests on our feet
The sand molds around our prints
As we step ever so lightly
Waves beat the shore
Filling the beach with its surprises
You bend down
And press into my hand
One of the sea’s precious gifts
“Remember this moment,”
You whisper into my ear,
“and remember,” you also say,
“Tomorrow will never come
Without a kiss from the sun.”
