SECRET DANCE
SECRET DANCE
Dance across the surf and sand
Music never heard by man
Dance across the clear blue sky
Music to my watching eye
The notes you hear lay in the sea
Carried by the morning tide
Dance across the rising sun
Dance until this day is done
Dance yourself far out to sea
Leave this lonely beach to me
I will follow in your steps
Traced in the sand before you left
I will learn your secret dance
Your flawless leaps, your perfect stance
I will dance the night away
The moon will paint me white and grey
Tomorrow when you come to dance
Beside you I will hide away
And when the light fades from the sky
I'll follow you across the waves
Watching the Seagulls on a beach in North Truro, Cape Cod.
