Second Chance Soulmates

She was suddenly single
When out of the blue
An old friend walked in
Said how do you do

They talked for a while
About, the good old days
How fate takes it's own pace
And it was there on display

Second chance soulmates
Sometimes fate gets it wrong
Over half of their lives
They knew all along

Whenever a feeling
Holds on this strong
Then second chance soulmates
Were right all along

I remember the first time
I met you in class
The smile of an angel
Today takes me right back

It's as if I know now
Like in that second back then
How my soul found its place
And our fate began

Second chance soulmates
Sometimes fate gets it wrong
Over half of their lives
They knew all along

Whenever a feeling
Holds on this strong
Then second chance soulmates
Were right all along

They left there together
After coffee and tea
He walked her to her car
She said please call me

Their story isn't over
It just started again
And second chance soulmates
They'll be to the end

Second chance soulmates
To lovers from friends
