Second Chance

Second chance

When I think about what might have been

I stop myself and think again.

The past is gone and the future remains

I lift my chin and break the chains.

There are changes I would love to make

But wanting to now is a little too late.

I waste my life still in the past

And the future is now fading fast.

What’s done is done there’s no second take

So live for today because it’s your life to make.
