Second Chance

Staring at the setting sun
My heart aching for someone
I only wish that you were here with me

Knowing beauty, now I see it
Sorry, love, I could not be it
But, now I wish you here, just holding me

Down the beach, a silhouette
Fast approaches, my heart skips yet
Thinking, for one moment, that you’ve returned

In my mind, all time had ceased
You’ve come again, to calm this beast
Rekindled embers, now fires left to burn.
