Seat of Scorn
sittin in the seat of scorn
shackled and chained tangled and torn
mangled by memories that injest me like monsters
in the belly of a beast i'm six million feet under
deformed and disfigured are my thoughts, hopes, and dreams
sittin in the seat of scorn...my soul screams
sittin in the seat of scorn
reading scarlet love letters with blood dripping from fetters
circumstances coming clever
i can't change the wind and i can't change the weather
black clouds spewing bad medicine invade another sunny day
the devil gets paid as self pity pours out
i'm bitter like wormwood with no way out
sittin in the seat of scorn...my soul shouts
sittin in the seat of scorn
the world passes me by like i never was born
invisible man with an iron hand of hate
they're draped in velvet gloves to cover my pain
can't let go of the anger and the rage
burn the book and rip another page
sittin in the seat of scorn on the brink...straight to the bottom my soul sinks
