Seasons To Talk About

JANUARY
beginning of a new era
a failure of many resolutions
and a Christmas fiasco

FEBRUARY
deluge of rain
in a short and wet month
and lovers haven

MARCH
daffodils in bloom
as the Irish celebrate
and potato seeds sowed

APRIL
a fool is born now and then
with mixed weather ahead
April Love for Pat Boone

MAY
springtime for flowers
some nice weather ahead
lily of the valley

JUNE
holidays booked and in place
bags are packed and ready to go
expired passport

JULY
seventh month
her name is Julia
not for the emperor

AUGUST
the heat is on
the beaches are full
with trash

SEPTEMBER
humidity everywhere
end of many holidays
September blues

OCTOBER
watch out for the frost
the terrifying cold weather
unlike Halloween

NOVEMBER
damned fireworks
remembering the dead
they’re not walking

DECEMBER
nearing the end of another year
big-spending avarice, drunkenness and arguments
and a baby is born….again
