Seasons Come and Go

The ice is melting drip by drip The chilling wind is dying down The ice around the window sill Melting slowly and going aground I sat quietly by the fire side And watch as winter declines It won’t be long till springtime When the sun will start to shine The sun will bring new life And the rains will make it grow Beauty will abound once more From the seeds that have been sown The grass turns green again And really starts to grow Soon it will need a trim And we know it is time to mow I remember youthful summer days We would play, fish and swim Life was so much fun when younger We were really happy way back then Now the ice is freezing drip by drip Winter is coming and bringing snow And there is ice around the window sill And the chilling wind is beginning to blow. Very well stated Connie! - seasons come and go and the circumstances in our lives change. This reminds us to cherish the time we have and the people in our lives before 'winter comes'. You've said it best.
