Seasonal Warning
Resonant like the moon, the sun’s shining — a halo through leafy oak.
The dark canopy like fig leaves, attempting to hide the naked bloke.
Ablaze on a cool November day, the warm and yellow sunbeam soak.
Comes, frenzy of cold blustery winds — mix of acorns, sticks, leaves.
Potential for slippery pavement in this bounty of beauty that weaves
its colorscape of synergy, naysayer of calm, coaxing flannel sleeves.
Surely, Spring and Summer relocates, in cabin fever far and away.
Nerve endings sense snow, the thwart of shorts and sleeveless play.
The drooping, wind-snatching of branch petals surpassing hearsay.
