Seasonal Vignette

Spring creeps into a normal routine
barely noticeable at first glance
fulfilling the beauty that we all yearn
to see and smell with bursting color
spreading everywhere upon the warmth
that summer glorifies and sanctifies.

Well it is absolutely miserable, wet and freezing here today, so this poem is the hope and promise of a new season in all its splendor. Thanks for reminding me its on its way. Love, Shar

You have such a special artistic voice, Cecil. Your book is outstanding! I love every poem in it. I think somehow we are kindred spirits in poetry. This poem is another fine example of how talented you are! Love, Carolyn
