Seaside

It was summertime by the seaside
That's when I fell in love with you
It was a mad, crazy type of passion
No other kind of love would do

This was a time of excitement
These were our best days
Playing in the gritty sand
Warming up by the sun's rays

We kicked water with our feet
Swinging my body around and around
Splashing each other with our hands
Laughing was the only sound

You tugged at my hair when you kissed me
I felt a shiver run down my spine
This summer is a fond memory
A time when you were mine

Turning to kiss you good-bye
Lips were chapped and dry
Salt granules landed on them
When I began to cry

I'll always remember our time
Our special time by the sea
The chance I got to be in your life
I hope you always remember me
