Searching For Tomorrow
We all have troubled waters that we must cross,
And we hope to reach the other side without suffering any loss.
Sometimes we have to get our feet wet to reach the other side,
And like waters deep and dark we never know what dangers hide.
That is the way of life, each day a journey unknown,
As we trek down the trail hoping our path be shown.
And no one knows for certainty what day will be their last,
We just keep trudging forward, making each day one more in the past.
Our lives they seem to intersect, like webs spun upon a wall,
Crisscrossing here and over there, till we hear the Masters call.
The more we up and move about, the more we seem to cross,
Until we find some have left and we realize the emptiness, the unexpected loss.
That is why man tries to leave his mark, a way as not to be forgot,
In this great big world so large, we must capture each moment that God allots.
We need to end all petty quarrels and live in harmony,
And thank God, who created us, down on bended knees.
Always look ahead my friend, cause yesterday is gone,
Think about what lies ahead, in this new found dawn.
As we travel down that road with the sun upon our face,
Thank about God’s relationship, and long for His embrace.
