Searching For Summer
As I look out from my porch chair,
on a lovely summer day,
the beauty is so splendid,
I speak to God and say!
I observe the lovely plants and trees,
the cornfields and the wheat.
I feel Your presence everywhere,
in the summers healing heat!
You bring sunshine to the summer,
You make the sky, a lovely blue!
You make the lilacs and the roses bloom,
the marigolds and orchids, too!
I marvel at the wonders,
and the beauty nature brings.
The priceless and the precious gifts,
and other, ordinary things!
The mountains vast and high.
The oceans deep and blue!
The magic flow of the streams and hills,
all the beasts and critters, too!
I enjoy my summer seasons,
and my favorite things to do!
I love baseball, golf and swimming,
just to name a few!
That's my Search for Summer!
It's the season I like best!
I have a lot more pleasure, then,
than I do in all the rest!
