Searching For Peace
Bless me Father for I have sinned
I know that I’ve let You down again
Last time I swore that I’d try to do better
I’m surprised You don’t just cut me loose all together
I do try so hard Lord to follow your teachings
But no matter how hard seems my hearts always reaching
If I think that I am following your path straight and true
Satan throws up a roadblock to draw me from you
Satan is such a trickster; he knows what to say
To make thing so tempting that cause me to stray
I do push him back, and scream “Get behind me”
But it seems my weaknesses he can easily see
So please be patient Lord, please wait for this soul
For walking in Your light is truly my goal
With You walking beside me to show me the way
I know that I’ll dwell in Your kingdom some day
