Searching For Heaven
Looking for hope in the darkness,
watching for signs of the sunrise,
finding no one to share my pain,
I was reaching for the sky.
And then you came out of nowhere,
you gave your love, you took my hand;
now I stand to face tomorrow,
I have found my heaven in you.
It's a never-ending journey
on the road to the promise land;
but the wait's over, now you're here,
I'm searching for heaven no more.
So don't you ever turn away,
please make your lovelight shine my way;
wrap your sweet arms all around me,
I need your love to see me through.
No more nights to spend alone
for I've found you to call my own;
I'll rise each day and meet the dawn,
I'm searching for heaven no more.
