Searching

I stand before the ocean
Wading out all alone
Will I find the answer?
Or drift into the unknown

My faith has been broken
And my secrets have been spoken

Through the forest I have travelled
Searching for my love lost
My deepest emotions has unravelled
This love had a high cost

My faith has been broken
And my secrets have been spoken

The world’s mountains I have climbed
True enlightenment I seek
All the holy bells I have chimed
But my soul was far too weak

My faith has been broken
And my secrets have been spoken

The deserts alone I have wandered
Sifting through the shifting sand
My life I alone have just squandered
Searching this cold and empty land

My faith has been broken
And my secrets have been spoken

I’ve spent my life searching wide
For this love I have lost
But it now only exists deep inside
Covered in a thick frost

My faith has been broken
And my secrets have been spoken

I must search within myself now
To try and free my soul
Freedom I must choose to allow
And fill this empty hole
