Search For Purpose

A thing learned called perception
Perhaps a relative concept
Something not conceived at conception
Since at that point i was inept

     Now clear yet blindingly vague
     My vision of this purpose
But for some direction i beg
     Not that of a compass

Admittedly life can get complex
Thousands of people for no one
Questions that continue to perplex
"Does truth come as a bullet from a gun"

No that's a bit too dark
     One must avoid such thoughts
Though it would make a mark
There's too much noise from those gunshots

Now i've lost my reason
That should have been expected
It must just be that season
When i feel i've left something neglected
