Sea View and Love's Loss

Sea View And Love's Loss They are quivering With beauty and strange alarm, Wild roses in the thunder. The great sea drowned Those tiny footprints On the sands Of my lonely heart Robert J. Lindley May 23rd, 2016 Note: Edited version from a longer, ten verse poem written back in 1982. This was as compact as I could make it and still keep the imagery, message, sad loss whole and felt, seen and/or appreciated by the reader.

The briefest piece that I have seen from your pen, and one of the finest. Deeply mournful, and beautifully written. Fave. A very Happy New Year to you and your loved ones, my friend.

Your sadly beautiful and breathtaking imagery has captured my fascinated attention, my dear friend. The sense of loss is keenly felt through the heartache of your verse. Your talented pen has dipped into your deep well of emotion to create this shining poignant and poetic gem. Exquisite poetry, Robert, that I must fav. Warmest wishes always my wonderful friend.. ~Susan
