Sea of Sin

As I sail through the darkest sea
My sails are battered and torn
The winds of life keep tossing me
And my body is tired and worn

The waves will choose my direction
I must follow where ever they lead
My conscience, my own reflection
It tells me I will never succeed

The moon and stars forsake me
While the darkness fills my soul
Tired, I wander aimlessly
And the light cannot console

A prisoner of my own regrets
And hindered by my own mistakes
Apologies made, but none forgets
So my heart just simply breaks

I keep sailing on this sea of sin
Forgiveness, no longer known
Much too late to turn around
I'm forever all alone
