Sea of Pearls

Sea of Pearls By Laura D December 15, 2016 The anger courses through my pulsing veins This body isnt mine. am I going insane? Am I sick in the brain, or are we simply all the same? Take your brittle strength to the hell from which it came Take your privelidge and the admiring stares Take away my bones for all that I care They'll ache until they break under the crushing weight For a life so unfair, I lay in hell to wait The doctors mind the shiny, pearly gates Maybe we'll pass if we can asimilate Put on the make-up, the fabricated hair Stuffing for breasts, hiding the rest; it isn't fair I'm strong, intelligent and charismatic My smile is always automatic But there are days I cannot be that girl So talk to me tomorrow, when I can be your shiny pearl
