Sea of Madness

The sea is a mysterious place. It can be calm as a summer lake, most like my mind in a
calm state. But it can be a hard cruel beast with monsterrous waves and unearthly creatures
waiting to devour the unexpected, crushing waves of distruction. They crash upon my mind in
waves of pain, bashing my thoughts into a million different directions just like when they
crash upon the sand. Seagulls circle like vultures waiting for the upchuck from the sea. M y
mind swirls upon this sea of madness. I cling to my rocky self hoping to have some control
of the contents of my mind. I scream soundless screams. A sense of peace surrounds me it
doesn't hurt anymore. The waves cover me like soft blankets promising comfort from the
pain. Let go, let go it whispers let go i will save you, let me drown your thoughts and feelings
no more pain no more fear. Let go, let go a sleep beneath my waves as i rock your battered
to sleep.
