Screaming Out

(Inspired by "Hello" by Adele & "XO" by Beyoncé)

Verse 1: Every single time you call my name,
I feel on top of the world, an undying flame
Lay next to me for a while and don't be afraid
Tell me something I don't know...the price of my decisions are paid
My condolences for screwing around with your mind
I didn't mean to disappoint you; let forgiveness unwind
I've never met someone so kind like you
I never felt this strong appeal for you too
Time didn't heal my wounds that drip blood of distress from the start
I adore this sadness that shelters my soul and tears my heart apart

Pre-chorus: Do you hear me, calling your name from the other side of the road?
Did you know that you are the best, compared to the rest?
I've been left in the cold on my own...
I feel like I'm far away from the warm city, in the forest all alone
Hello, hello - can you hear me screaming out?
I just need someone to lean on without a doubt
Tell me something I don't know
You tell the same stories...it's like watching a familiar show

Chorus: Tell me that there's some hope to reap
Tell me which road to choose or I'll fall into a hole of confusion, oh so deep
Tell me, tell me something
Tell me, tell me something I don't know
I don't know anything about what's on your mind
I don't know where I am...I feel as if I am blind
Goodbye, goodbye - can you hear my heart being fast?
I'm trying to look forward to a future that's coming so fast
Forgiving and forgetting the past
Is harder than I thought...
I wish this moment between us won't last
I give it all I got before I give up and rot
Waiting for you to tell me, tell me
Tell me something I don't know...
Tell me, tell me if I'm worthy of your happiness
Going through rough times and I'm in a state of mournful gladness

Verse 2: My feet are frozen in place on the ground before me
My hands are in the air, blowing to and fro in the blessed breeze
My lips are quivering and my tongue is uttering a plea -
Please...please don't neglect me and water me with your healing hands, so I can be like the tall, triumphant trees
I don't mind if you accept me as a friend by your side
I do mind if you reject me with your ever-cunning pride

Waiting for you to tell me, tell me
Tell me something I don't know...
Tell me, tell me if I'm worthy of your happiness
Going through rough times and I'm in a state of mournful gladness

Verse 3: I used to be a joyous boy, full of curiosity
Now, I lack that childlike confidence that swept away my insane misery
I don't know why I act so irrational and pathetic around you
I do know why I feel like a demolished dam...
I can't stand the insecurities that allows me to drift away from the cheery crew
I understand that I'm a sheepish, lost lamb
