Scream

Following some distant dreams
Somewhere I hear distant screams
Hopefully one day I'll find
Something I left behind
When did my life turn to these hollow eyes
Lost to all her lies
Walking away I know I'll be back
Still she wants to attack
Driven by some distant past
I should of known if that could last
Lost in the promises of her secret desire
Her eyes set my soul on fire
Locked down in the darkest part of her heart
Trouble will soon start
Time waits on no one like me
Wanting to set her soul free
Working for the day I can stand up and fight
Can't remember wrong from right
Looking for a star
to lead me away so far
Waiting for my time to be
Just want to be free
hidden in plain sight
Hopefully we don't have to fight
Chasing her black dragons across the hallways in her mind
Hope one day, peace will be found
Crying without a sound
Fighting not to drive on by
It's so hard to see her cry
Chasing away black dragons through the empty hallways only she can see
Wishing I could set her free .
Lost in some broken dreams
Don't like hearing the distant scream
Till I can hold her dreams in the hollows of my brain
Time to walk on out of here
Still I stay here for her to know I'm still near.
Waiting for some secret little pill
Looking out the window sill
Sun start to fade across the sky
I can see the need to run and I hear her cry
Chasing black dragons across the shadow of her broken mind
I Know what see will find
Shattered and lost dreams
I n my head I can still hear her distant screams
