School Today

The grandkids have gone back to school Eight-thirty ‘til eleven, The days too short for even them, At ages five and seven. We walked them there and picked them up But classes weren’t adjourning; Instead, the laptops came on board For blocks of online learning. We’re in way over both our heads On mouseless Chrome computers And also on the hilly streets Where they like riding scooters. Despite some stress, we still had fun; Our grandkids are delicious, But getting back to full-time school, Let’s hope is expeditious.

I am so ready to return physically, and so are the children. We are probably all going to get this anyway. The problem is if we all get it at the SAME time. GRRRR. I am so OVER this virus. Please God, make it disappear overnight! I need some normal especially for the children! I do not do well at all unless I have a MOUSE on a computer. I have to add one to my chrome book.

Whoa! It sounds more like a radiation programme, i.e., everyone is together just long enough to spread COVID-19 about. One would think Chrome use would be at home and school would develop social abilities? Aloha! Rico

Fun rhyme Ilene. Sounds like you've no sooner dropped them than it's time to pick them up again?

It's amazing how much improvising we've learned to do this year, isn't it? I love your rhymes of computers/scooters, and delicious/expeditious. Let's hope the schools are open again soon for full days. P.S. You're a pretty wonderful grandma! (did you like my "P.S." pun?)
