New doctrine I yearn to learn
New doctrine I avoid to spurn
I always endeavour to master
Rare teachings quite faster!

Although effort has no dollar
To new teachings I'm a Scholar
For, to know outside the wall
Of self, is next to knowing all!

Just That Archaic Poet September 26, 2013 at 3:13 PM The last two lines are a home run and brings the whole piece together. When I read them, I was like "BAM!" that was awesome. It was a revelation, and I enjoy a poem that gives me a bit to chew on and ruminate. Excellent work! Just That Archaic Poet October 1, 2013 at 11:35 AM I am totally biased toward rhyme, also. I can't help it. It's what sings to my Soul. I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I think "rhyme" is the only TRUE form of poetry.
