Schizophrenia

We are all schizophrenic-
But with minds that aren’t defined.
Wisping reality to a picture of
A reflection of our minds.

We all have mental illness
Or we all are men
Whose constant visions and desires
Create the what, where, when.

We all have gone half crazy,
Chasing all the naught.
Forgetting all we dreamed to become,
To carve a heart we sought.

We all are schizophrenic-
Making fact what we want it to be,
Combining all our lies and light
To form our own reality…

I agree with you, Rachel... What some admire as 'consistency' is so dull is drives most of us, like me anyway, out of our minds!

Interesting way to look at comparing what we thought we would get out of life and what is actually happening in our lives. There is a perfect plan for our life but most of the time we forget to let God lead us where we should go. Thanks for sharing this poem with us. I enjoyed reading it. Sara K

I have a parent with it. It's complicated. Sometimes it's impossible to let out unfiltered truths, pain hides. I see their line in mine, though.

I have my own issues, as well, too. I've grown with just what I need. Thanks Rachel.
