Scattered Thoughts
I'm only thirteen years of age
I am not feeling real love at this stage
It's just not possible just not true
So now you and I are through
Yeah I blew it, I knew I could
But you just never thought I would
This side of me is unknown to lots
This side, of broken scattered thoughts
Generally I keep myself together
But sometimes I can't keep doing better
I can't keep all cool and collected
Not all my thoughts are always connected
The only way, this side of me shows
Is in my poetry that, flows and flows
But, no this is not the me you've known
But this side inside me, has grown and grown
I don't need a boyfriend when I'm this new
I've only lived thirteen years, just a few
I have all my life, for people like you
Hugs and kisses, and the other stuff too
But now I need to enjoy what I've got
Have fun, and do what I want
You did nothing wrong, you couldn't help me
This is my problem, not yours, you see
So now that we are broken apart
We each still have a functioning heart
We ought to go out and enjoy the day
Because you never know when life, will go away...
