Scars of the Past
The corner of the coffee shop
I sit and drink my tea
Hustle and bustle all around
Still nobody sees me
Invisible to all about
No eye contact I make
Lonely every single day
My choice or is it fate
I'd love to laugh and chat along
To giggle with the rest
I just can't seem to take that leap
I try my very best
This is not what I had planned
seclusion not my aim
I really want to shake there hand
or tell someone my name
Contorted with miss-trust from youth
I cannot take the chance
Alone I'll be for my entire
Will never taste romance
