Scarface

You never know what another has been through until the blood spills from the scar

We met as just two broken people trying to be whole again and over time you began to fill all my pot holes

So, tell me again how much you love me and not just for the outside

Tell me you love the scars I have on the inside that only bleed when my tears soak into my cotton shirt

The scars that made me the broken masterpiece God saw before I could even think about being the person I will be in the future

Are my scars unsightly or can you look within the beauty

Because I am tired of bleeding and looking for the one who can bring healing

I am tired of hiding and I will not cover my brokenness just to make you comfortable

Looking into your eyes as I hold your face just tell me yes or no because I don’t think I could afford to have a scar from you

It would be the hardest thing I ever faced

p.s. but I’ll be ok when I’m reloaded…
