Saying Goodbye

When we are apart the sun doesn't shine,
Birds lose their tune, drought withers a vine.
The summer breeze is never the same,
And Kelly Clarkson looses her fame.
The flowers aren't growing year after year.
Nothings the same if you're not near.
Starlight aint glowing so well anymore,
Then the wind whispers and opens my door,
I feel my heart pumping to finally see,
You standing there looking back at me.
Saying goodbye is harder each day,
When I'm without you I can't find my way.
So please never leave me please hold me tight.
Don't let your departure rage in me night.

A deeply touching write. A fiercely expressed last line. Nicely done, Alexis!
