Saying Goodbye

sayin goodbye is never easy
but its always harder when i dont know you were leaving

i never asked to be apart
only that you take my heart
"do with it as you please i say"
youve taken it with you so far away

i wish to have it back sometime
only when i become more kind
im too hard to handle what is mine
much less of that someone more divine

ive learned that saying goodbye is harder than hello
wearing concrete shoes makes it hard to go 

but i have none to give
so spare yourself and move on
the life i hoped to live
was here but now its gone

saying goodbye is terribly ill
leaving me with nothing to feel
so ill say goodbye
forever, tonight

as you leave knowing i wont be alright
no i wont be alright
