Saying Goodbye
Saying goodbye was the last thing I'd do
You were taken from our lives far too soon
My world has changed now that I don't have you
Your eyes shone like stars, your smile the moon
Your voice was like music straight from Heaven
You taught me how to play Monopoly
And the piano when I was seven
We danced around the room and sang loudly
We laughed so hard that we would almost cry
We were just kids, so happy and care free
Then you were gone and I didn't know why
I couldn't understand how it could be
Tears fell from my eyes as they carried you
And saying goodbye was all I could do
