Saying Goodbye

Quietly she walks
holding back a flood of tears
they all sense her pain
empty stares behind their eyes
as she lay her child to rest

The emotion comes through your words on this one. This has to be one of the most tragic things any parent can face. You captured the devastation in this poem. Thank you for your kind words on my haiku. Keep on writing. Karen
