Say What You Need To Say

It's been years
Since you left
From this lonely earth
The wounds still fresh
My heart still beats
Though barely hanging on
I walk through life
On auto pilot
Afraid to open up
It was you, always there
Leading me from the dark
You gave me strength
When I was weak
Than one day you were gone
I must say in all truth
If I'm speaking from my heart
I felt betrayed
I felt abandoned by
The one true friend
I could rely on
I was away battling
My own demons as you left
I never got to say goodbye
Or tell you my true feelings
Now with such regret in my soul
I wander around this great big world
Holding in what should have been spoken
To tell you how I loved you so
More than you will ever know
You were my rock, you were my heart
Now it's left in pieces bleeding

this is so lovely Lisa, although so very sad too but feel the breaking of the heart through it all really comes with rawness and reality as is life for us all. May you know a real inner healing, blessings and peace, Gordon
