Say What You Feel

Sometimes you may think you are above the rest;
But I find that there is an ultimate test;

You criticize, you fight, you judge too quick.
Slow down, build your story brick by brick.

For many people they think too hard,
Say what you feel, put down your guard.

You need to put it out there, for others to see,
Do not be shy, let your emotions run free.

For only then will your words ring true,
Do I know what I talk about?  I haven't a clue.

I love this so much because it is exactly how I feel! I adore honest people. People who don't put up guards or sugar coat their life story making you feel beneath them. You have no idea what you talk about, because it is all truth. Straight from the heart. Not fiction that you had to take time to prepare! Thank you for taking the words from my mouth and creating a beautiful poem!
